3 generations - 100 years with Duvenbeck

 

This month Thomas Schaffeld, who has been loyal to the Duvenbeck company for 35 years, was honoured. Throughout his tenure with the company, he has worked in the cargo handling sector and has now been warehouse manager for over 15 years.

 

Already his father, Heinrich Schaffeld (professional driver - 55 years) and also his son Joey Schaffeld (IT - 10 years) are or were employed by Duvenbeck.

 

Thomas Schaffeld, who initially worked as a trainee at Duvenbeck, was given a permanent position in Dingden in June 1985; one day after receiving his truck driving licence.

 

In addition to the Dingden location, Mr. Schaffeld also contributed his skills and knowledge over the years at the Duisburg, Bochum, Wuppertal, Rheda-Wiedenbrück and, since 2017, the Herne logistics centre. In Herne, he manages the Intermodal rail loading facility.

 

As one of the best forklift drivers in Germany (Mr. Schaffeld has already qualified several times for the German championships for forklift drivers), Thomas Schaffeld is described as a colleague who always shows great commitment and collegiality and "always has a coffee in his hand".
